With the popularity of photography, it's not surprising that there's a number of celebrities who take a keen interest in photography.
There's a long list of celebrities who photograph. Bryan Adams regularly collaborates with Zoo magazine and has 3 books published to his name. Seal takes his Leica with him on the road. Star Trek actor Leonard Nimoy takes black and white landscapes and fine art nudes. Jeff Bridges uses a Wide-Lux camera to take some unique panoramic photos on his movie sets.
Batman actor Aaron Eckhart takes a photojournalistic approach. He takes on projects with a deeper meaning. Some of his work feature people in hospitals and old age homes. His work is astonishingly good.
Dennis Hopper took fascinating pictures of everyone around him. After his death is 2010, some old pictures were discovered in a cupboard. A book has been published, and more photographs has since been discovered.
Brad Pitt has taken interest in photography in recent years. A selection of his pictures of Angelina Jolie and his kids were published in the November 2008 issue of W Magazine, with one of the pictures making the cover.

Dennis Hopper (1936 - 2010)
The late Dennis Hopper was perhaps the most talented of all the celebrity photographers. He had such a good photographic eye. His pictures are fascinating. The composition, subject choice and timing in his photographs are excellent. He photographed fellow actors, hippies, bikers, street scenes and random people. He knew how to photograph people. His pictures are iconic. The quality of his photographs clearly show that he had a natural photographic eye.
He was certainly an underrated photographer - celebrity or not.
Jeff Bridges has been taking pictures for most of his life, starting in high school. He started taking photography more seriously when his wife gave him a Wide-Lux camera as a wedding gift. Ever since then, he has been taking behind the scenes pictures on his movie sets. He recently released a book, 'Pictures'.
Canadian singer/songwriter Bryan Adams is a very talented photographer. He does a lot of fashion photography. His fashion work is rather good, with some of his later work showing very good lighting skills. He frequently collaborates with magazines including Zoo Magazine, Dazed and Harpers Bazaar. Kate Moss, Mick Jagger, Amy Winehouse, Lily Cole Sho, Lana Del Rey, Sting and Pamela Anderson are a few of the celebrities he has photographed.
He has released 3 books. His most recent book, 'Wounded', features portraits of British soldiers who suffered life-changing injuries in war.
Brad Pitt Collaborated with W Magazine, publishing a collection of photographs of Angelina Jolie. He photographed her on Kodak Tech Pan film, a film which is no longer being manufactured, and had to be sourced with difficulty.
The resulting photos were personal and intimate, with the grain of the film complementing the mood of the photos. While his pictures are not all technically correct, the mood and intimate portrayal of Angelina more than makes up for this. His pictures were surprisingly good.
In recent years, Aaron Eckhart has taken a serious interest in photography. He always takes his camera with him whenever he is filming somewhere. During breaks and days off, he wonders the streets, looking for interesting people to photograph. In 2011 he spent time in the Dominican Republic, visiting hospitals and clinics.
